What is Zerodha Pi Expert Advisor – EA ?

Zerodha Pi EA is an alert generating tool that comes bundled with your Zerodha Pi Trading terminal.

The Pi EA tool generates visual and sound alerts when the stock you have applied the EA on matches the tradescript conditions you have used with the EA.

A predefined list of Tradescript conditions are pre programmed into the Zerodha Pi EA tool, making it very much useful for daytraders who wants to trade only on particular scrips.

Here is how you can start using the Zerodha Pi EA on your charts :

1. On Pi Trading terminal, open up an intraday chart of your choice.
2. On the Pi Toolbar >> ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE >> APPLY EXPERT ADVISORS.
3. On the pop up window >> TICK the type of tradescript conditions you want to use >> APPLY.
4. The EA is now active on your chart and generates a sound alert when the conditions match.

Important Notes:

1. The Zerodha Pi EA tool works only during the trading hours on intraday time-frame charts.
2. Zerodha EA’s are not like the regular stock screeners that scans across multiple scrips at one time.
3. EA’s need to be applied individually on each chart.
4. You open a different chart window for each scrip you want to use your EA script over.
5. You can apply both the entry and exit signals on the EA tool window.
6. The EA’s generate sound alert as well as it logs the trade signal to the Generated Alerts TAB for later reference.
7. Opening up many charts at the same time with too many EA’s is a heavy load on the CPU and internet bandwidth.
8. If you want to use EA’s on multiple charts, using the Pi scanner would be much easier.
