Since September 16, 2026, free TradingView accounts tracking NSE-listed stocks and indices like Nifty and Bank Nifty are seeing an orange “D” badge on their charts, meaning the data is delayed by 15 minutes. Until recently, most free users had gotten used to NSE charts updating close to live.
According to TradingView’s own data coverage page, NSE India shows delayed data free, with a 15-minute lag, across stocks, futures, options and indices. Real-time NSE data itself is listed at $0 for both non-professional and professional accounts, so this isn’t a subscription fee tied to NSE specifically.
Whether this changed just now or was already the rule and simply wasn’t being enforced, TradingView doesn’t say anywhere on its own pages. What’s clear is the result: charts that looked real-time yesterday now show a lag unless you are on a paid plan.
If you trade Nifty or Bank Nifty intraday, 15 minutes matters. For swing traders working off daily candles, it barely registers.
TradingView’s pricing page has current plan details, and paid tiers generally come with fewer of these access hurdles across exchanges. You can also start a free trial to see whether a paid plan clears things up for your setup before committing.
